2. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. When the pages are accessed, the host processes technically necessary connection data (including IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type, operating system, referrer URL) in order to deliver the content and to ensure the security and stability of operations. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and stable operation).
2a. Audience measurement (counting pixel)
To evaluate page views, the logo is loaded on every page via our own script (/tracker/ksc.png) on our server. In doing so we store in a database, which is also located at STRATO: time of the request, IP address, page requested, browser identifier (user agent) with derived browser and operating system, referrer URL, browser language setting and the approximate origin (country, region, city, internet provider, time zone). No cookies are set and no information is stored on your device. The data serve exclusively for statistics on which pages are viewed how often and for detecting misuse. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. You can object to the processing at any time under Art. 21 GDPR (email to info@schmudlach.de).
There is currently no automatic deletion. The data is stored until you object to the processing or request its deletion.
To determine the approximate origin, your IP address is transmitted to the service ip-api.com (operated by a service provider in the USA, a third country). The purpose is exclusively the statistics and misuse detection described above. The recipient is the operator of ip-api.com. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. For the transfer to the USA we currently have neither an adequacy decision nor separate safeguards under Art. 44 et seq. GDPR for this service; you can object to this processing at any time under Art. 21 GDPR (email to info@schmudlach.de).

When you contact us (for example by email), the information you provide is processed in order to answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in communication). Data is not passed on without your consent.
